Never before in the history of reproduced sound has the listening environment played such a crucial role. With multi-channel sound room interaction can effect the sound in many unpredictable ways - the Chairo Constellation series makes every attempt to control the interaction between the speaker and the listener’s ears.

Introducing the T38 Wave Guide Tweeter
Bigger than any other currently available moving coil tweeter the T38 Wave Guide features:
- extended dynamic range at mid to high frequencies
- accurate energy radiation control off-axis minimizing room interaction

The critical listener will discover ambient information, dynamics and imaging greatly increased on recording that he or she is passionately familiar with.

The sense of being there will be moving to say the least.

Ursa Major

The flagship model of the Constellation Series.

The Dual cabinet design decouples bass energy from the upper cabinet where most of the musical spectrum is reproduced. The upper cabinet places the drivers higher from the ground - controlling floor and ceiling bounce in a predictable manner.

The proprietary cross over configuration offers a unique solution to driver interaction and to control total energy radiated. The drivers behave and merge as one through overlapping crossover points also while controlling the desired radiation pattern, hence early reflections are controlled in order resulting in a much wider sound stage.

Preserving the ambient information on recordings is also key to recreating the recorded event. The Usra Major was designed to take in to account the dynamic range of both recording and the the closed space the speaker will be reproducing the recorded event in. Taking into account the ear-brain loudness contours of a typical listener in room Chario tilts the speakers frequency response to account for this and reverberation decay of any closed space. This procedure is similar to “spatial equalization” practiced by researchers at the recording stage.

The Chario Constellation Ursa Major sports technologies that no other manufacturer will offer you in a low-priced speaker. First of all, there is the dual cabinet design, with the sub-bass drivers enclosed in a separate box that is decoupled from the upper structure – this architecture ensures that the large amounts of energy developed by these drivers will not transform in vibrations and uncontrolled resonance that tends to deteriorate the response of the rest of the drivers inside the Chario Constellation Ursa Major.

The upper cabinet houses three drivers that cover the whole audio spectrum and sport the same vertical inverted driver positioning proven to ensure better performance: placing the low and midrange drivers higher from the floor and close to the middle-height of the room offers better control on the floor/ceiling reflections and thus deals with this problem. The 4-way Ursa Major is capable of delivering a sonic response close to other much higher-priced speakers; it sports carefully-chosen overlapping crossover point which are administered with premium-quality components for a most transparent acoustic deployment.

The Chario Constellation Ursa Major sports two 170mm sub-bass woofers with Polymeric Compound cones that are capable of outputting a rumbling 35Hz bottom-end that will rock your house off without a separate subwoofer, no matter whether listening to music or watching movies. The upper cabinet houses a 170mm woofer with paper compound cone, a 130mm midrange driver with carbon-reinforced paper cone and a softdome tweeter 38mm in diameter. This driver complement reaches a 91dB sensitivity and can handle as much as 180W.
